food poisioning

Today is Thursday.. Even though I am writing.. Normally I do it in weekends..

Today Food poisoning forced me to stay home.

It all started yesterday.
Yesterday morning I had severe pain in stomach even though i went to office.. BIG MISTAKE.. By after noon it became unbearable.. I talked to my leader and took half day off. came back home around 4.30p.m and then went directly to my bed..
I woke up around 8p.m.. Was feeling bit good after 3hours rest so I avoided to see doctor..

I checked my official mails around 9p.m, Below is one of the mails I received

Thank god that I had already fixed problem in the morning but just forgot to inform him.. So nothing to worry about, I replied that problem has been fixed..

Today morning, same thing repeated. no I am talking about my client's problem I am talking about my stomach pain..No better feeling.. Now I had no option.

My mom called doctor who is my neighbor. He advised not to eat anything for the whole day.. that means keep fast for the day, no need to take any medicine. ooh I never keep fast, I event don't remember when last time I had fast.. But I agreed, rather I had to agree.

So after full day rest, now I feel better. Definitely will go to office tomorrow. Anyhow this break was pleasant, got some rest out of hectic schedule full of tension and stress.

मोसम की पहेली बारिश

Finally the south-west monsoon today reached Ahmedabad. Couple of days the sky was quite cloudy. The sun hardly showing himself from behind the black rainy clouds. As I was looking at the sky from the window were the black monsoon clouds had started to gather over to hit Ahmedabad.

And the whole natures play started at around 4.00clock with heavy thunders.
Well this time the first monsoon rains have really hit hard. I was stuck up in the traffic for 1 hour while going back to home at gandhinagar, 25km from my office. I saw water logging at several places.

Amdavadis eagerly waiting for rain got relief. But this first rain almost made it imposible to reach home on time as there was heavy traffic jam at almost all major traffic junctions.

Today I also got chance to take couple of snaps from my office balcony.

eVolleympics , 2007 : Updates on first round

“eVolleympics 2007” is really becoming more and more interesting as now picture is getting more clear, who will make into the next round.

After the first round, two teams from both groups(each group has four teams), will enter into semifinal round and rest two teams will have to pack their bags.

Looking at the score, in philosopher group, its certain that Zeno and Plato are qualifiers for semi final round.

In the scientist group, Team Copernicus has proved itself, no issue, everyone believes “in the middle of everything is the sun, rest rotates around”. But for the second qualifier, Galileo and Archimedes have equal chances to make into semis.

Archimedes will play their last match against poor (in performance) Pythagoras, while Galileo will have rock solid Copernicus as rival for last match.

As per our top brass informer, Copernicus captain is not going to play in the last match and this news will give a bit relief to Team Galileo.

Best - worst

Here in ahmedabad summer is at its fullest. We have our volleyball tournament going on during these days. We call it "eVolleympic 2007", you can visit official website here. There are two groups and four teams in each.

We have hired MG Science Volleyball ground for the tournament and we play all the matches during weekend.

I am part of Galileo team. We had our first match on Saturday and second match on Sunday. Now both matches are over.

We started very well, winning first match in straight two sets. That was our best performance, and for that even we got one bonus point, all were happy.

But in the second match, we had to play without our captain and we paid heavy price for that, lost the match in straight two sets. That was worst performance.

Now we are looking forward for our third match which will be very critical for us as we must win it to be in the tournament.

My first Blog- Like a small water drop

This is the first blog.. Hmmm
I had a plan since long back, but was not getting time or perhaps was not quite sure of how well I will do in blogging.
But some where, some how , one has to start... So here I go..
May be after initial version of blog ( yes, you are right, I am working in IT company so you will often find this type of terminology ), I will put on some good and bit more stuff.
